How to sponsor your wife and children in the UAE?
An expat residence can sponsor his wife and children’s residence visa only if he satisfies the sponsorship necessities set by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA).
To sponsor his wife, the expat resident should prove a marital relationship by presenting an authenticated marriage certificate in Arabic or correctly translated into Arabic by a certified translator.
A Muslim resident staying in UAE might be permitted to sponsor his 2 wives, only if he meets certain terms & conditions set by the respective General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA).
How to Sponsor your daughters in UAE?
An expat resident staying in UAE can sponsor his daughter only if she is unmarried.
How to sponsor your son in UAE?
A resident staying in the UAE can sponsor his son only up-to the age of 18 years. In case after the age of 18 years, the son is studying in the UAE or abroad, he can be sponsored until the age of 21 years but only on giving the evidence that he is studying. Although, if he wants his residence visa to stay valid, he must enter the UAE minimum once every six months. The residence visa is given yearly, is renewed until the person completes his education.
Note: If the person studying abroad and is having a residence visa of UAE does not visit in UAE once every six months. In this case his/her residence visa of UAE will be automatically canceled.
How to sponsor your stepchildren in UAE?
An expat resident staying in the UAE can sponsor his stepchildren, subject to General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) conditions which include a deposit for every child as well as a written NOC from the biological parent. Their residence visas are valid for 1 year; renewed every year.
